I lived in Utah during college... it was wild, wacky and weird. If you've ever seen the movie 'Carnival of Souls', it was filmed in Salt Lake.
They do have some stunning scenery. And it's the only place I've ever lived where you can actually walk from downtown to a wild mountain woods in about an hour. Southern Utah is awesome.
