Archer Tarik

This archer says Merry Christmas, is specialized in distant combat and looks a bit like Brandon Flowers in the face and has similar boots like me. Found him whilst doing Xmas shopping today.

*****Winter******

I think I got one of the last flights out of London when the snow came. It took 12hours to get here though plus waiting in crowds.
This dog likes snow and is insane. I'm happy about beetroot salad and empty views across fields with nothing on it except for cows and electric poles.

Christmas already?

Today I got my Xmas cards done and sent out (electronically), plus other end of year activities, doing the free calendar, shopping and all, and then I noticed that the holidays have already started for a lot of people!! I thought most of next week was a normal work week. Anyway, here they are:

Happy Holidays!

2010 Calendar

Here's the one for January. Because it's a nice number I thought I'd make one for each month of 2010, which you can download here as a desktop wallpaper (2520x1575 wide screen, I'm not sure what happens if you use it on a normal 4:3 monitor) or print off (this will be a bit smaller than A4).
So if you like a messy DesertFriends desktop (like me), check back at the end of each month to get the following month's calendar.
Happy 2010!

Coming soon...

...2 little zines, i.e. little self-published 'books', one's called Latchkey Kids which I developed from a few sketches plus text loosely based (+ made up) on latchkey kids I knew in the 80s.
The other one is my review of 2009, including highlights and lowlights and other random things that happened this year. There's no order in it and it's quite
sketchy. Here are some previews of both:

They will be available on my Etsy shop in early 2010...

And there's a third one on which I started working now and it contains the 12 or 13 original stories for DesertFriends which I wrote a few years ago, originally intended for animation. Here's a short preview:

Fabrics on Etsy

These two fabrics, Yeehaw and I Love Country are now for sale in my Etsy shop.
They were printed in the USA by Spoonflower and the Country one is my favourite, I'm keeping one fat quarter for myself although I'm not sure what to make with it...

Still here...

I'm still here but so busy til the end of the year that I couldn't blog much. I'm mainly sketching for commissions whilst the Levi's cowboy keyring is guarding me.
Good news is that I managed to get some personal work in the format of zines or self-published 'books' done, well almost, and that Ammo magazine selected me as one of the artists for issue 2, and that there's more personal work and collaboration coming in the hopefully good year of 2010.
